Missy and Dennis...

told us some exciting news when they were here, so we set her up on some blankets for some quick pics.

Cresent Beach

We headed to Crescent beach with Missy, Rob and Jen, and Grandma and Grandpa. We walked the beach, looked for shells and had a good time. Missy and Dennis were down to help Dennis' brother install a new kitchen, so Dennis couldn't make it out.

Jen's place with Leanne

Leanne and Dwight and kids came down middle of August for Andre's wedding. I was able to see then one day. We had a lot of fun, and Leanne and I even played dress up... what a bunch of geeks hey? We put the kids to bed at night, and ordered Pizza, sat around and BS'd.

A freak rain storm

We were outside, mowing the lawn, and doing all the normal summer things when suddenly the clouds rolled in, and the thunder, lightning, and rain started. It was so warm out, so we threw coats on the kids, and kept mowing, and working till it was done. Here are some pics of the kids enjoying the rain.

Birch Bay

Andrew left on Friday for an overnight fishing trip that his work took a few people on. He wouldn't get back till late Saturday night. I didn't want to bore the kids by staying home, and didn't want to get exhausted trying to keep them busy and out of my hair, so on Saturday afternoon we packed up a picnic lunch and headed to birch bay.

Unpacking the picnic lunch

Cheese!

They had alot of fun throwing rocks in to the water

Sharing a can of pop. I took three cans along cause it's easy, and I wasn't sure how long we would be there. When they finished the first can, they told me "it's not working" I told them the pop is all gone. It's like a light turned on in Mikenzies brain, and with out hesitation, she went to the bin and grabbed another can and proudly brought it over! So cute!

Mikenzie is talking in full sentences, and waste no time in telling you if she wants something. She asked me to help her sit on the log. Looks so funny cause she is so small on it.

I told the girls we needed a pic of me with them to prove that I was there.
We went for a walk trough birch bay, there was a craft fair there so we walked through that too, and then headed home. They must have been exhausted b/c they both slept on the way.

They had a bowl of icecream for a snack, and then we went swimming in the pool. You know your too big for the pool when your 2 yr old asks you to get out so she can swim!

We finished the day off with pancakes and strawberries for supper... Yum!
