Life around here

I had K & R over so their Mom could get ready for their b-day party. They are so good, I hardly notice they are here!

Our maple tree had some seedlings this year, rather the seeds planted them selves in our flower beds. I transplanted about 8 of them in the same area, and 5 are still doing good. Here is a pic of one of them. It's about 3" tall!

The girls watching me take pics of the hens n chicks, I quickly took a pic.

My Hens and chicks finally have a flower! I have had these for the past 4 yrs, waiting for a flower, and it finally happened! Ok, it didn't bloom yet, but it's really tall, so I wanted a pic of it before it fell down! It actually had 2, but 1 already fell down- it looks alive, so maybe it will still bloom!

Best of buds... most of the time!

So last night, I put the kids to bed, and went outside to help Andrew. When I got in the house, this is where I found Mikenzie! I don't think it's comfy, but maybe a little cooler!

Vreugdnehil Family bus ride.

On Friday the 10th of July, the Vreugdenhil Family hopped on 2 Hesselgrave buses and headed to Peragyn lake for the day. We left at 7:15, and stopped at a suspension bridge along the way for a short walk, coffee and baking. We continued on to Peragyn lake and arrived around 12:00. We had a short swim, lunch, and then headed into Winthrop for Ice-cream and a walk around town. Andrew went to the bar with one of his cousins for a beer- it was a HOT day! I watched the glass blowing guy make a chille pepper- It was very cool to see how it works! Around 2ish, we left Winthrop, and headed back home. We stopped at Rainy pass, and did a 1 mile walk to a glacier lake. then we headed to a buffet in mt Vernon for dinner. After dinner we went back to Lynden church, where we all went our separate directions again. It was a busy day, but a lot of fun!

Sleep over!

Kyleigh had a friend sleep over last week for a few days. J's Mom had foot surgery, so she stayed here while her mom got her energy back. They had a lot of fun! They played most of the time, we went to costco, swam in the hot tub, picked peas and ate them (they were really good) picked carrots, and painted rocks! The girls were in awe at how the carrots were in the ground, and the peas grew on plants! It was a great learning experience for them!
